The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement (South-West), Moremi Ojudu, has reassured families of children abducted in Oyo State that the Federal Government remains fully committed to securing their safe return and ensuring that no effort is spared in the ongoing rescue operations.
Speaking during a visit to the affected families alongside officials of the Department of State Services (DSS) Oyo State Command, Ojudu expressed deep concern over the trauma and uncertainty being experienced by the families, emphasizing that the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu stands in solidarity with them during this difficult period.

She noted that the pain of losing a child to abduction goes beyond headlines and statistics, touching the very core of humanity and community.
“Some pains cannot be measured in headlines, statistics, or social media posts. They are felt in the tears of a mother, the silence of a child, and the emptiness left behind by uncertainty. These moments remind us of the humanity that is at the center of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government—a commitment to stand with the people not only in times of celebration but also in seasons of sorrow,” Ojudu said.
She added that the pain of the affected families is shared by government and citizens alike, stressing that they are not alone in their ordeal.
“Our thoughts and prayers remain with the families. We remain committed to ensuring that every child returns home safely,” she stated.
Earlier in the day, Ojudu visited the Oyo State Command of the Department of State Services as part of her engagement on the prevailing security situation and ongoing efforts to secure the release of the abducted children.
During the visit, she received a comprehensive briefing from the Director of State Services, Oyo State Command, SDS Usman Biu, on the operations and strategies being deployed by security agencies in response to the incident.
Ojudu commended the efforts of the security agencies and assured the affected communities that the Federal Government is closely monitoring developments and providing the necessary support to ensure the success of ongoing rescue operations.
She reiterated that the administration of President Tinubu remains resolute in its commitment to protecting lives and strengthening community engagement in addressing security challenges across the country.
The visit further demonstrated the Federal Government’s determination to stand with victims of insecurity and provide reassurance to affected families while security agencies continue efforts to reunite the abducted children with their loved ones.
