The Ikorodu Division Youth Assembly (IDYA) has congratulated Princess Damilola Sonayon James on her nomination as the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing her emergence as a testament to competence, capacity, and the growing recognition of young and dynamic leaders in Lagos State.
In a statement issued by the Director General of the Assembly, Eyikogbe Toluwalope David, IDYA noted that the nomination reflects the increasing importance of merit, service, and visionary leadership in the state’s political landscape.
“The nomination of Princess Damilola Sonayon James is a welcome development for Lagos State and an encouraging signal to young people who aspire to contribute meaningfully to governance and public service. The Assembly further stated that her emergence represents a positive step towards strengthening youth inclusion and expanding opportunities for capable young leaders to participate in decision-making processes at the highest levels of government. According to the statement, Princess Damilola Sonayon James embodies the qualities of a modern public servant and stands as “a round peg in a round hole,” possessing the competence, character, and vision required to support the continued growth and development of Lagos State.
IDYA also commended the leadership of the All Progressives Congress for presenting a ticket that reflects experience, innovation, and the aspirations of a new generation of leaders, while expressing confidence in Princess Sonayon James’ ability to make meaningful contributions to governance and service delivery.
