Meranda to Deliver Keynote, Babajimi Benson as Special Guest of Honour
The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), is set to host the second edition of the Mentorship Session with HOA 2.0, a leadership and youth development initiative designed to inspire and equip young people for purposeful leadership.
The highly anticipated programme is scheduled to hold on Saturday, September 5, 2026, by 10:00 a.m. at the Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA Secretariat.
The event will feature the Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda, as the Keynote Speaker, while the Member representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, will serve as the Special Guest of Honour.
The second edition builds on the success of the maiden session, which brought together young people and accomplished leaders for meaningful conversations on leadership, personal development, governance and community development. The initiative reflects Chairman Aroyewun’s commitment to creating platforms where young people can gain knowledge, mentorship and practical guidance from experienced leaders.
With the theme “Leading with Purpose: Mentoring the Next Generation of Transformational Leaders,” the session is expected to attract young professionals, students, entrepreneurs, emerging leaders and other stakeholders interested in personal and leadership development.
The organisers said the presence of distinguished leaders such as Rt. Hon. Meranda and Rep. Benson will provide participants with valuable opportunities to learn from their experiences and gain insights into purposeful leadership, resilience, service and nation-building.
The programme is expected to further strengthen the council’s commitment to youth development while providing a platform for young people to learn, connect, grow and lead with purpose.
