His career began in public service at the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs during his NYSC year, followed by impactful roles in the financial sector with Lagos State Building Investment Company (LBIC) and Inland Bank Nigeria Plc. Yet, it is in grassroots politics and governance that he has made his most enduring mark.
Long before holding public office, Olusi was already shaping political conversations at the grassroots. As Chairman of the defunct Grassroots Democratic Movement (GDM) in Ward A3 in 1997, he demonstrated early leadership and independence, leading his team to victory in a highly competitive political environment.
Over the years, he rose through dedication and service to become Executive Chairman of Lagos Island Local Government, where he served with distinction from 2017 to 2025. His tenure was marked by visible development, people-oriented programmes, and a consistent drive to improve the quality of life across communities.
Today, he brings that same energy, experience, and vision to the race for the House of Representatives.
