APC Unveils 2027 Election Timetable, Sets Presidential Form at N100m

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced its timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections, outlining key dates for its primaries and the cost of nomination forms for aspirants.

In a statement released Monday night and signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, the APC disclosed that presidential aspirants will pay a total of N100 million, comprising N30 million for the expression of interest form and N70 million for the nomination form.

For governorship aspirants, the expression of interest form is priced at N10 million, while the nomination form costs N40 million.

The party also fixed fees for legislative positions. Aspirants to the Senate are to pay N3 million for the expression of interest form and N17 million for the nomination form. Those seeking seats in the House of Representatives will pay N1 million and N9 million, respectively.

At the state level, aspirants for the House of Assembly are required to pay N1 million for the expression of interest form and N5 million for the nomination form.

The APC added that female aspirants, youths, and persons living with disabilities will pay the full expression of interest fee but enjoy a 50 percent discount on the nomination form.

According to the timetable, the party’s presidential primary election is scheduled for May 15 and 16. This will be followed by the House of Representatives primaries on May 18, Senate primaries on May 20, State House of Assembly primaries on May 21, and governorship primaries on May 23.
